hi, i'm Ric.

Before I got to Spotify, I was an English teacher, a terrible rhythm guitarist, a bartender, a telecommunications lawyer, a photojournalist, a translator of legal contracts, a very amateur stand-up comedian and an advertising creative director.

Weirdly, I find advertising to be the most fun gig. I get to work with amazing people and be part of cool and uncool projects. (For the record, lawyers make more money.)

I spent lots of time in both traditional and digital-oriented agencies in Brazil and then worked at Fallon London as a creative director. And now I'm at Spotify! My 17-year-old music snob self would be very proud.

Indie bookshops, Greece, boxing, pub basement concerts, Chiswick Cinema, Parkruns, bad sketching in overpriced notebooks, Boston Celtics, birdwatching, Google Home.
